How to use castor oil for hormone balance

Hey there!

In my previous email you got the scoop on how castor oil supports hormone balance, most notably because it:

  • Lowers inflammation
  • Alleviates Constipation
  • Supports Digestive Function
  • Supports Lymphatic System
  • Supports liver and detoxification
  • Shifts the body from the stress/fight-or-flight mode to the "rest & digest" mode

Now, Let's Look At How to Use Castor Oil for Hormone Balance

The best and safest way to use castor oil for your hormones is to apply it topically.

More specifically, you want to use a castor oil pack.

A castor oil pack involves:

  • soaking a cloth - typically cotton or flannel - with castor oil and applying it on the skin.
  • allowing the pack to sit on the skin for an extended period of time.

This application method gives the castor oil time to work its magic (and is safer than ingesting castor oil - which you should only do under the supervision of a physician).

But, Can Simply Applying Castor Oil To The Skin Truly Produce Results?

It's logical to question whether applying castor oil on the skin would actually do anything for you.

Just remember that topical treatments aren't just for "alternative" remedies like castor oil.

The medical industry also administers treatments via the skin.

For example, doctors use:

  • hormone patches.
  • smoking cessation patches.
  • pain relief creams and ointments...

and so on.

All of these topical treatments exist because they work.

One of the advantages of using topical remedies - as opposed to something that you ingest - is that:

  • you can apply the treatment over specific parts of the body and therefore, deliver the treatment to specific organs.
  • compared to something that you ingest, when you apply a treatment on the skin, less of the active ingredient enters the bloodstream. It stays concentrated in the area where you apply the treatment (which means there's less impact on the entire body).
  • it reduces the risk of drug interactions and body-wide side effects, especially when a person is taking multiple drugs.

Where Can You Apply A Castor Oil Pack?

For hormone balance, applying a castor oil pack over the liver area - on the right side of the abdomen - is where most people start.

This allows you to support the body's main detox organ, which is the liver.

At the same time some of the castor oil will still make it into your bloodstream (just not as much as if you ingested it - which is actually a good thing because you never want to use castor oil internally without a physician's guidance).

Besides the liver, castor oil packs can also be applied:

  • over the pelvic area.
  • around the neck for thyroid support.
  • over the breasts to support overall breast health.

Where To Get A Castor Oil Pack

You can make your own pack from scratch by purchasing cotton or flannel fabric and soaking it with the castor oil.

Otherwise, look for companies that sell a pre-made castor oil pack.
