You already have it

Hey Reader,

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend here in the U.S, I wanted to share something that is basic and very easy to forget or discard...

Balance is your body's natural state of being.

Therefore, bringing balance to your hormones is something that your body inherently knows how to do and wants to do.

So, it's not about whether you're intermittent fasting, doing keto or eating vegan...it's about whether you're eating the food that nature designed for you (i.e. whole foods).

We can follow a certain "eating style" and still be out of balance (I've known vegetarians who ate plenty of packaged foods and at the point, the vegetarianism was no better than anything else out there).

Also, this process of balancing hormones isn't simply about taking herbs - like adaptogens- to lower cortisol...only to keep living by the same old stressful habits.

The herbs can provide support for a whole but if you have old habits that haven't been in your best interest, only you can change that (with a hefty dose of mindfulness, kindness and self-compassion).

Remember: your body is one with nature and nature is always seeking balance.

So, take a moment to reflect on how you can live a life that is more in alignment in nature.

Please note that I don't mean that you have to abandon work, family or modern life to go live in the woods (unless that's truly your heart's calling)!

What I mean is....

If you removed all the dogma and constructs that we were taught about health, calories, medicine, healing and even the whole "no pain, no gain" mentality (which has really only created pain for humanity)...

If you strip away all that noise and clutter, what would living in alignment with nature...in this present moment...look like?

It's not something you can answer immediately or even in one sitting.

But it's worth contemplating because it's an important step in envisioning and subsequently, crafting a day-to-day routine that supports all of you (hormones included).

Wishing you all the best and talk soon!
